Core Values
Leaders focus on equipping and training other Christians to do ministry; leaders are empowered and trusted to oversee specific areas of ministry. (Eph. 4:7, 12-16; 2 Tim. 2:2)
2. Gift-oriented ministry
Ministry tasks are distributed according to the spiritual gifts of the people; every Christian is using his/her God-given gifts to build up the church. (Eph. 4:7; 1 Peter 4:10-11)
3. Passionate spirituality
The spiritual lives of the church members are characterized by prayer, enthusiasm, and boldness because of their intimate relationship with Jesus through Gods Word; members live out their faith with power and contagious enthusiasm. (Eph. 5:15-16; 6:10, 18; Col. 3:1-17; Gal. 5:22-26; James 3:17; 2 Peter 1:6-9)
4. Functional structures
The forms, practices, and structures of the church are designed to effectively accomplish ministry in this time and place (form follows function); church structures are evaluated as to whether or not they are accomplishing the mission and vision God has given the church. (1 Cor. 1:30; 2:4; Eph. 1:22; 1 Tim. 3:1, 5)
5. Inspiring worship
Worship is inspiring, encouraging and uplifting. People participate in worship with Christ as the audience. (Ps. 100; John 4:23-24)
6. Holistic small groups
There is a continuous multiplication of small groups that meet the real needs of people; the loving and healing power of fellowship is experienced in these groups. (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2: 42-47; Rom. 14:19, 15:14; Col. 3:16; 1 Thess. 5:11)
7. Need-oriented evangelism
Evangelistic activities relate directly to the needs of the people the church is trying to reach; Christians are using their spiritual gifts to help fulfill the Great Commission. (Mark 16:15; Acts 14:21; Luke 19:10)
8. Loving relationships
Relationships among the members of the church are characterized by a high level of loving affection; Christ's love permeates all church activities. (John 13:34-35, 17:23; 1 Cor. 13:13, 14:1; 1 John 3:16,18)
